1920's Cast Iron Angelus Bookends - a Pair


pair of bronze over cast metal bookends featuring the image from Angelus after Jean Francois Millet; originally painted in 1859. 

The bookend displays a couple giving thank with their heads bowed in prayer. Well done and detailed in depth . No markings to indicate the maker, however these bookends date back to 1920's to early 1930's time period. 

Measured at 4 1/2 inches tall for both pieces with felt on the base. slight patina consistent with age of bookends, no other damage
